A Nothing Missing Leadership Foundation Retreat
with Akasha and Jim in the Windhorse Forest
Join us for this retreat in May.
As we experience an increasingly volatile, complex, and uncertain world, new forms of leadership are being called forth to meet these challenges and to develop new opportunities. A new paradigm that respects the wisdom of nature and nourishes people and planet is essential for us to thrive. We invite you to deepen your learning journey along the path of Nothing Missing Leadership, exploring how to best express your inherent leadership capacity and strengthen organizational and community impact.
Immersion in nature sharpens awareness of regenerative solutions and opens new possibilities for action. It facilitates opportunities for us to connect more deeply with our wisest and most skilful self – the source of our authentic and deeply relational leadership. Silence and solitude support discernment on the path forward. Connection and collaboration inspire new ways of seeing and reduce the stress of going it alone.
This retreat is ideal for leaders who recognize that greater awareness and wisdom - and practical skills - are needed to address our current and future social challenges and who want to enhance resilience in themselves and their organizations.
Opportunities for you:
During our time together, hosted by and in the Windhorse Forest, we will strengthen our families, our communities, our organizations, and ourselves. In the following three months, Jim and Akasha will be available to you for online coaching, free of charge, if you would like to dig into the specifics of how Nothing Missing can enhance your lives and your work. We look forward to journeying with you.
Akasha is a pilgrim, educator, and developmental coach with over 10 years of professional experience. He brings a constructive developmental and heart-centred approach to fostering diversity, inclusion, and equity in organizations. He also brings experience and deep interest in spiritual development and evolution of human consciousness to his practice.
Akasha is also known for his success working with men across multiple sociocultural differences. He designs and facilitates workshops and interventions, including the Dare to Connect developmental We-labs that focus on facilitating capacities for loving fiercely and engaging radically across multiple differences such as race, age, gender, country of origin, and class. His engagement with client systems centres on partnership and fostering intimate conversations with groups about things that matter to them.
Because of his commitment to children, especially those with special needs, he founded a fatherhood organization in Bermuda supporting fathers in their role and creating opportunities to deepen the bond between fathers and their children.
He has worked in banking and as a communication consultant for non-profits in Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and Bermuda. Akasha currently serves as an adjunct faculty at St. George’s University in Grenada. He is a coach and consulting colleague with Solfire Consulting Group and Cultivating Leadership. He holds a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University. He is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), credentialed through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He is ever on the move and spends most of his time between Grenada and Bermuda with his partner and their son.
Formally trained as a forest ecologist, Jim Drescher, is a co-director of Windhorse Farm (windhorsefarm.org) and founder of Nothing Missing Leadership (nothingmissing.ca). He was trained in the observation of living systems by his grandmother from the time he was seven. Since 1973, he has been a student of the Buddhist meditation master, Chogyam Trungpa. Today his teaching and coaching play at the confluence of his family lineage of nature practice and the ancient Buddhist leadership teachings. For the past 3 decades, his practice ground has been in the forests and wetlands of Windhorse Farm.
