Windhorse Tonewood exists in order to bring together two important streams in our world:  forests and music.

The excellent quality Red (Adirondack) Spruce tops for guitar, mandolin, violin and other stringed instruments are made from 200 – 400 year old Red Spruce trees harvested so carefully that the natural Acadian Forest remains undisturbed.  

All our material is carefully selected not only for quality but also to ensure it is coming from sustainably managed forests. This is the commitment we make so that your top quality stringed instruments will sing the song of healthy forests.
