Whether you are looking to use fewer chemicals and increase your profit margin, or are committed to keeping bees organically, this workshop is for you.

Learn about the current state of the honeybee and beekeeping industry and alternatives to the failing status quo. Safe, nontoxic and effective methods for controlling hive pests and diseases such as mites and foulbrood are covered. There will be class room sessions covering a variety of topics such as bee biology and basic equipment. The program will progress with hands on field work with the bees. You will learn to split hives and create nukes. The course provides a great opportunity to discuss your own bee experiences and trouble shoot with fellow beekeepers.

Please plan to arrive between 5-6pm on Thursday, May 17. The course will end on Sunday, May 20 at approximately 3 p.m.
