Program Administrator & Weekend Host
Hours 10-6:30, Wed – Sun (40 hour week)
Responsibilities:
- Register participants/guests
- Invoice/collect payment
- Track and collect deposits and final payments
- Report to bookkeeper re accounts received and receivable
- Check accommodations before arrivals, ensuring Windhorse standards
- Meet guests and show them "in"
- Be the Windhorse liaison with program leaders/guests
- Keep calendar updated (shared responsibility with Program Developer)
- Keep the downstairs office clean and neat
- Manage the Farm Store (buying, arranging, pricing, selling, reporting)
- Answer P&A phone (referring as appropriate), greet walk-ins.
- Operate credit card machine and cash box and keep records for bookkeeper
We are looking for a person who:
- Is friendly and efficient with all customers, clients and co-workers
- Enjoys working collaboratively in a teams
- Has experience in administration and hospitality
- Has facility and accuracy with numbers
- Has a keen eye for aesthetic and functional detail
- Enjoys working weekends with two weekdays “off”
- Is excited about what is happening at Windhorse Farm
Compensation:
- $10-$13 depending on experience.
- Two weeks paid vacation
- Two weeks paid professional development

Windhorse Groundskeepers / Gardeners
The garden work at Windhorse Farm for the season of 2012 will primarily be horticultural.We are looking for 2 experienced gardeners to care for the perennial gardens, growing and planting annual flowers and working in the nursery.
Skills required for an 8 hour day / 5 days a week would be: experience in pruning, plant cultivation, propagation, plant cultivation, watering, weeding, transplanting, mulching, compost making. The other dimension would be harvesting and preserving perennial fruits e.g. blueberries, apples, pears.
The salary will be commensurate with experience and woods camps are available for rental on the farm.
