Spring Activity at WHF

• The snow is melting away, the Spring ephemerals are emerging, and the tree buds are swelling.
• A great variety of greens from the greenhouse are growing in rich abundance.
• Firewood for next winter is being split and stacked.
• The chickens are laying eggs like crazy --- and hatching chicks.
• The bees are starting to fly on warm days, first to alders, red maples and crocuses, then to a myriad of flowering plants.
• The water is chilly for swimming but refreshing after a hot sauna.
• The deep forest mirror beckons.
